Stay relaxed and positive about the assessment. Children can be given short explanations about how we will learn more about their learning styles and areas of strength and weakness.

Please bring important documents with you. Examples: previous assessment reports, IPPs, medical documents, speech-language reports, occupational therapy reports, etc. (if applicable).

If your child wears prescription glasses and/or hearing aids, please ensure they are wearing them during testing sessions.

If your child takes any prescription medication regularly, please ensure it is taken as usual for testing sessions.

Ensure your child has a good night's sleep prior to testing. A nutritious meal should also be eaten prior to testing. Parents may want to send a small snack. Short breaks will be taken during testing, if needed.
